4 The perfect location for the local compressor is a perfectly flat and level place. Also, the compressor should be close to the compressed air inlet so that the pressure drop in the compressed air can not be created and should not be distanced from the main power panel so that the voltage drop does not appear in the compressor input.
It is best to consider a room suitable for compressors and equipment. This room should be air-conditioned. Avoid placing under the sunlight, snow and rain.
5 The distance between the compressor and the wall and the surrounding obstacles should be at least 1 meter and at 55 kilowatts above, this distance should be at least 1.5 meters.
6 The front of the radiator network must be open and not in line with the equipment, as well as the possibility of ventilating the hot air out of the radiator and the room.
7 The air inlet to the compressor room should be clean (free of dust) and not with a high temperature. Avoid placing compressors and equipment in the vicinity of high-temperature devices and environment-pollutant equipment such as powder painting devices.
8 The compressor and the tank must be positioned so that the compressor and reservoir gauge can be readily seen at one glance in order to compare the pressure gauge and the indication that the electrical switchboard shows.
9 The distance between the compressor and the tank must be at least 2 meters and a maximum of 5 meters, and in devices larger than 55 kilowatts, at least 3 meters and up to 8 meters. The distance between the other equipment should not exceed 3 meters.
The compressor installation plan is one of the following three modes:
Compressor installation map with exterior and interior refrigeration equipment
Compressor installation map with peripheral and absorbent equipment
Compressor installation map with accessories and boosters
Notice The arrangement of the equipment in operation is important, and the correct location must be observed.
After installing the compressor and equipment in proper places, it is time for plumbing and connecting the compressor and the equipment, which is often the responsibility of the dear customers.
The pipe material used is a Mannesmann pipe, galvanized tube or a plastic tube with a load capacity of 16 bar for lines without a booster, and for a high pressure line after the booster, the use of a high pressure Mannesmann metal pipe is required.
10 The size of the pipes used between the compressor and the equipment must be equal to the compressor output. The flanges are located opposite the outlet of the compressor and the front of the inlet and outlet of the water trap are welding flanges for plumbing by welding and if a galvanized or plastic tube is used, the connections will be changed.
11If the compressor flange is not evenly spaced and the equipment is brought in and out, conversion must be considered so that the size of the piping does not change. For example, if the output of the compressor is ½ “, and the entry and exit of reservoir is 2-inch, it should be converted from 2 inches to 1½ inches for tank entry and exit.
The water trap input is beside and its output is above it. The tank’s inlet is from the bottom and the outlet is from the top.
12Hand valve should be considered between the trap and the tank. Avoid using a one-way valve, as the connection between the tank and the compressor is cut off and the compressor is not aware of the reservoir pressure and the compressor’s performance is disturbed.
The bypass path after the reservoir should be considered, as it should be used in the case of Dairy line repairs.
At the beginning and the end of the Dairy line, two handholds must be considered.
The arrangement of the equipment commensurate with the space available in the compressor room can be changed provided that all of the above items are complied with in each case. The equipment can be installed linearly, in shape, curve, etc., without a large maze, so that the pressure in the consumption lines is not reduced.
13After the installation is completed, using the U-shaped at the outlet of the compressor room and installing a manual or automatic valve below it can be effective in evacuating moisture accumulated in the intake line.
The size of the compressed air line pipe should be 1.5 times the pipework between the compressor and the equipment. For example, in the case of a 1-inch piping compressor and equipment, the piping line should be ½ inch.
14 Observing the following points in indoor plumbing can be effective:
Taking branching from the top of the compressed air tube (to prevent leakage of moisture)
Connecting the front and the end of the compressed air pipe (ringing) to prevent the pressure drop across the entire path
15 Select the cable required for the compressor:
In the below table the vertical column on the left shows the cable number and the upper horizontal column shows the distance between main switchgear of the plant and the compressor, and the middle cells show the maximum amperage of the compressor. And, considering that the power consumption is twice the kilowatts of the engine, the size of the appropriate cable can be estimated.
Example: Cable 10 is able to withstand 33 amps at a distance of 150 meters.
The compressor cable is selected directly from the main panel, without split and from the correct type and extended to the compressor.
